Student Interest Form

Are you interested in participating in a TBTS event?

We are excited to open up our free Teens Behind the Scenes (TBTS) events for high school students in the Washington D.C. metro area. Please review the Participation Requirements below and fill out the Student Interest Form to be added to the waitlist. If you have any questions about completing the form or about the TBTS program, please reach out to education@nationaltheatre.org.

Submissions for our summer programs are now closed. Be on the lookout for your chance to enter the drawing for our 2025-26 programs.

  • You must be a high school student in the Washington D.C. metro area. If you are selected to receive tickets, a valid student ID or other proof of enrollment may be required to claim them.
  • Students who are selected for the event will receive two (2) free tickets, which includes the post-performance talkback with our dramaturg and (when available) a special guest. Your tickets will be held for you at The National Theatre and can be collected right before the performance.
  • Please note that submitting the Student Interest Form does not guarantee you tickets to the event. The drawing will take place approximately one month prior to the performance.
  • We will contact you via email to confirm that you were selected. If you do not confirm your availability to attend the event within 72 hours your two tickets will be reassigned.
  • If you do not respond to our email or attend the event after confirming your two tickets, your name will be removed from the drawing for the next event.
  • If selected to attend the event, you will be responsible for your own transportation to and from the theatre for the performance.
