Securing the Future

At this pivotal moment, we are greatly appreciative of donors and friends who would like to be part of our next chapter. Thank you for considering the contribution level that is right for you to our Securing the Future campaign.

The National Theatre Foundation has the unique and thrilling opportunity to purchase our historic theatre from private ownership.

Accomplishing this will place a cherished landmark in the hands of the non-profit organization committed to its preservation and ensure autonomy over its programming and care.  It also allows us the opportunity to ensure a future where The National Theatre is a glittering destination for future generations as we build toward our Bicentennial Celebration in 2035.

The last major renovation of The National Theatre occurred in 1984.  In the more than 40 years since then, theatre technology has grown by leaps and bounds while gradual wear and tear of age, and millions of visitors, have taken a toll on our facilities.  In addition to the acquisition, funds are also needed for these critical capital improvements to bring the facility up to modern, first-class standards.
