Dr.
Gloria Seaman Allen author of A Maryland Sampling: Girlhood
Embroidery 1738-1860 and an outstanding team of needlework
and textile historians will offer FREE evaluations of 18th and 19th
century needlework created in Washington City, Georgetown and Alexandria.

Dr.
Allen and her team will offer their insights about the origins and
time period of examined needlework and relate the object to known
regional styles and identified works from schools in the Washington
region.
MONETARY
VALUATIONS WILL NOT BE PROVIDED.
Participants
are encouraged to provide their family genealogy, as
well as any pertinent information they may have on the
origins of their needlework to aide in the evaluations.
