CHICAGO is back . . . With a Vengeance

The Razzle Dazzle of the big trial. . . the transparent motives of big-talking, big-buck lawyers . . . the bribes and lies in the slammer . . . getting away with murder. Sound familiar? It should. CHICAGO, Kander and Ebb's musical vaudeville, embarks on a two-year national tour with its current engagement at the National Theatre.

The musical exploration of love, death, murder and fame, CHICAGO follows "not your usual housewife" Roxie Hart, who gains dubious notoriety when she kills her boyfriend, as she invents her defense, fabricates her story, and manipulates everyone from the jailhouse matron to the bleeding heart journalists and hack reporters.

CHICAGO is a magical evening that fuses all the elements of dynamic, vibrant theater. Featuring well-known songs All That Jazz, Mr. Cellophane, and Razzle Dazzle by the Tony Award-winning team of John Kander and Fred Ebb (Kiss of the Spider Woman, Cabaret) and a sultry book by Ebb and original director and choreographer Bob Fosse, CHICAGO makes getting away with murder sound -- and look -- incredibly sexy.

CHICAGO is directed by Walter Bobbie and is choreographed by Ann Reinking, Fosse's longtime muse, in the original choreographer's unique and sexy dance vocabulary. CHICAGO is produced by Tony Award winners Barry and Fran Weissler and Jujamcyn Theaters.
