Presented by Nickelodeon and PACE Variety Entertainment, Inc., a division of SFX Entertainment Corporation, BLUE'S CLUES LIVE! is an interactive theatrical production based on the television series that changed the way kids watch TV.

Families will experience an introduction to the wonder of theater from the moment they enter the venue, and "Blue's Clues," which inspired a cultural phenomenon with the preschool set, will explode into life onstage.  BLUE'S CLUES LIVE! features familiar and well-loved characters like Blue, Steve and all their friends-Mail Box, Slippery Soap, Tickety Tock, Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper-along with some brand new characters that are part of the live show.  This live theatrical presentation invites preschoolers and their parents to think, imagine and be an active part of the show as they embark on a search for clues to the most spectacular place.

"With BLUE'S CLUES LIVE!, we're introducing preschoolers to the magic of theater while encouraging the same interactivity, enthusiasm and play-along spirit that we have with the TV show," says Angela Santomero, one of the original creators of Nickelodeon's hit series "Blue's Clues," and the co-author of BLUE'S CLUES LIVE!.  "We want the show to empower kids and build their self esteem, so we're giving every kid in the audience their own handy-dandy notebook so they can interact with Steve and Blue to find clues during the show, rather than just passively watch it."

"For many children, this will be their first experience with live theater," adds Gip Hoppe, director of BLUE'S CLUES LIVE!, "So, we've created a charming, smart play that really speaks to children.  And we hope BLUE'S CLUES LIVE! inspires them to see even more theater."

 Character Descriptions

 Blue

Blue is a girl puppy who is the central character of Blue's Clues and comes to life in BLUE'S CLUES LIVE!  She's irresistible to both kids and parents.  More preschooler than puppy, Blue is playful, affectionate, curious and ready to learn!  She doesn't dig bones or lick food out of a bowl - she eats her cereal with a spoon and colors with crayons!  Blue instigates the games that are played on the show by leaving her trademark paw print "clues" for the audience to find.  She also provides the driving energy for the show both because of her spirit, and because each episode is about figuring out what she needs.

 Steve

Steve (played by Thomas Mizer) is the almost grownup best friend every preschooler wants: a combination child-adult-playmate rolled into one!  Steve always wears his signature green-striped shirt, and possesses a child's sense of curiosity and wonder.  With his enthusiastic manner. he has the ability to turn learning into an adventure.  By always staying one step behind kids, he's able to bring out their self-esteem and a special "Oooh, ooh, I know the answer!" excitement.

 Mailbox

"Mail's here, mail's in, it's the mail!" Mailbox is a favorite recurring character with the personality of a wisecracking ten year-old newspaper delivery boy.  He always seems to be one step ahead of Steve: if there's a clue, he's already seen it.  If Blue is making newspaper hats, Mailbox has one.  Every day, he brings a video "letter" that shows real kids doing something that relates to the show's theme.  Wouldn't every preschooler love a Mailbox with such amazing delivery?

Mr.  Salt and Mrs. Pepper ... and Paprika!

You'll find Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper in the kitchen.  Devoted to each other, they're the proud parents of tiny spice baby, Paprika, who can often be found napping in her peanut shell or shaking her rattle.  P.S. They're French - with the endearingly silly accents to prove it!

Tickety Tock

This playful preschool girl/alarm clock possesses many of the same characteristics as our youngest viewers at home.  Tickety (as her friends call her) has boundless energy, is very enthusiastic and responds to questions and situations in deliberate preschool fashion.  Tickety Tock often gives Steve clues to where Blue is hiding.  And in BLUES CLUES LIVE!, Tickety Tock keeps kids entertained during intermission.

Slippery Soap

Slippery Soap is known for his bubbly personality!  He's always excited about whatever happens and shows it by slipping from side to side.  Slippery is our guide to any games or antics in the bathroom - he provides bathroom humor suitable for preschoolers!

Shovel and Pail

This brother/sister duo can usually be found in the garden, their home base.  They're opinionated and willing to stand up (to each other) for what they believe in. Like most siblings, they sometimes quarrel, but usually get along well.  Kids really dig these characters.
