HELPFUL HINTS FOR GROUP LEADERS
Here are some suggestions to ensure the most positive experience for you and your group while visiting the National Theatre.
1. Please check the date on your tickets to make sure that they are for the correct date. Review your tickets and the seating chart that was enclosed with your tickets, to familiarize yourself with the theatre and the area in which you will be seated. House left seating is odd numbered 1-3-5-7. House right is even 2-4-6-8 and center is sequential 101-102-103, etc.
2. The audience is admitted to the auditorium 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the performance. Please arrive in the lobby as early as possible to allow ample time for you and your group to enter the theatre and take your place in your assigned seats. Note that if you arrive after the show begins you may not be seated immediately, but at the staff's discretion.
3. As a result of heightened security in all public places, please avoid bringing packages, luggage, backpacks, etc., to the theatre, as all such packages are subject to inspection and must be checked in the coat check room. We also ask you to keep your tickets stub available for inspection at all times. Your cooperation will be sincerely appreciated.
4. Please make sure that all cell phones and pagers are TURNED OFF before entering the theatre. Text messaging during a performance is exceptionally bad etiquette.
5. Note that the use of cameras and other recording devices inside the theatre are STRICTLY PROHIBITED by law.
6. Children under the age of 4 will not be admitted. Regardless of age, all patrons must have a ticket to attend.
7. Outside food is not permitted inside the theatre. Refreshments are available for sale before the show and during intermission, however bottled water is the only refreshment allowed inside the auditorium.
8. Main restrooms are located in the mezzanine lounge, which are accessible via the orchestra level. Additional restrooms are available on the balcony level. A handicapped accessible restroom is located off the third floor elevator for our special needs patrons.
9. There are numerous parking lots located in the immediate vicinity of the theatre for your convenience, specifically ones located on E Street between 12th and 13th, and G Street between 13th and 14th.
10. For those arriving by school
